Problem of emergency medical assistance involves two major parameters viz. information accuracy and real time availability. The solutions addresses these as follows:

– Development of a mobile application installed on the user’s device which ensures quick access to information

– Get real time availability and location of ambulances (from various service providers)

– Track ICU/NICU/PICU bed availability and occupancy on a real time basis through an admin dashboard for hospitals

– Facility for a patient to book a bed directly through the app

To tackle the problem of information asymmetry and real time availability, ASCENT developed a mobile-based application for end users and a web based dashboard for hospitals to monitor availability. System also includes a web-dashboard for admin users.

Key features as follows:

– Mobile based application for end users to get information about nearby ambulances and hospitals that have ICU/NICU/PICU facilities based on their current location (through geofencing)

– Dashboard for hospitals to get a coherent view of department wise bed availability, patient information and option to vacate or occupy a bed to provide real time status

– Provision for the end user to book hospital beds directly through the app

– Provision for end users to call ambulances based on nearest location and also based on preferences
